Our History

Inlet Cardiopulmonary & Associates was established in the Murrells Inlet community in 1996, with a staff of two. What began as primarily a cardiology practice proceeded to grow into a diverse multi-specialty group.  The two locations are supported by a staff of approximately 40 employees and directed by Practice Administrator, Debbie Denault, who has been with the group since the beginning. The group has continued its recruiting efforts to bring new physicians to the area.

The practice focuses on providing a full range of high quality medical services for patients in convenient and comfortable surroundings. All members of the group share a strong commitment to the highest standard of care for patients. The physicians are all active staff members at Georgetown Memorial Hospital and Waccamaw Community Hospital, and two have faculty appointments at the Medical University of South Carolina. As the community grows, the group plans to expand in a manner that will always assure these high standards and never compromise patient care.

The physicians of Inlet Cardiopulmonary & Associates also express their commitments to the surrounding communities by participating in several groups and causes.  Coaching youth baseball leagues, acting as Cub master of Boy Scouts of America packs, sponsoring various fund raising efforts for the American Heart Association, and offering free community health education and services through the non-profit organization H.E.L.P. Inc. are just a few avenues of the doctors’ involvements.
